Labor Management
The management of people and labor services is a CSI core competency. In September 2006 CSI International began the implementation of an automated Time and Attendance which simplifies and improves the accuracy of processes from the time employees punches in until they are paid.
For our larger locations, with more than 10 employees, CSI uses the wall mounted device which is an on-site management interface system that offers smart features such as:
- Employees punch-in and out using a combination of their finger, and pin number
- The device has a rich color screen user interface which can be used for labor management, communication, and training.
- The interface box communicates using secure/encrypted packets via modem, Local Area Network (LAN) or wireless communication.
This system is designed to help our CSI on-site managers simplify their job, and eliminate a lot of their manual paper work activities. In addition becomes another set of eyes and ears in the field and can help with the following tasks:
- Track employees, Verify exactly who is on premise using fingerprints
- Communicate (two way to employees)
- Assign work (and messages) to remote workers
For those facilities with less than 10 employees assigned CSI uses the phone in capabilities of our time management system. This is a system that collects time and attendance at remote locations via automated phone Text-To-Speech technology, and then places the information on secure web to be accessed from a laptop or a PDA phone. Using this system CSI utilizes an outsourced 800 number, and secure web link. Employees use the 800 number to punch-in and punch-out and timesheets are immediately created (in real time) and accessible via secure web.
With the CSI automated punch to pay system, our operational managers can login to a secure web site and perform the following from a web enabled computer or hand-held device:
- Track employees and their attendance in real-Time, using a web browser
- Set triggers and alerts based on employee attendance or tardiness
- Manage employees, send messages, and assig nwork tickets to individuals or sites.
- Submit timesheets electronically to back-office payroll department
